At Truman Orthodontics, we’re all about creating smiles, not just with braces, but with kindness, comfort, and care. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce one of the most beloved members of our team: Macey, our certified patient comfort dog!
Macey, is a 3-year-old Cavapoo. She is a mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. Her calm demeanor, loving disposition and playfulness are a few reasons why she’s the perfect comfort companion during your office visit. Whether you need a little extra reassurance, some TLC, or puppy snuggles and giggles, Macey is there for all of our patients’ needs.
Let’s be honest, braces and orthodontic treatment can be a little intimidating, especially for kids. But Macey has a special way of turning anxious energy into calm confidence. Studies have shown that comfort animals can lower stress levels, reduce blood pressure, and increase feelings of happiness. In Macey’s case, she just thinks she’s making new friends, and she loves every minute of it!
We get it, dogs aren’t for everyone. Macey is hypoallergenic, squeaky clean, and only visits patients who want to hang out. Totally optional, totally adorable.
Macey is always ready to make new friends. Whether you’re coming in for a consultation, adjustment, or just to say hi, Macey is here to help you feel more at ease. Macey takes her job seriously (but with plenty of play breaks). You might find her lying quietly in a patient’s lap , giving post-appointment snuggles or snoozing in her bed. She’s intuitive, calm, and always seems to know who needs her the most. The best part of Macey’s day is interacting with our patients.
